This notice covers our public website, Studio Updates email list, and private ChartLeaf tester portal. We do not sell or rent the personal information we collect through these websites, or use it for targeted advertising.

Studio Updates

Joining is optional. An email address is required to join Studio Updates. If you consent, we store your email address, selected game interest, signup source, consent timestamps, and the consent wording and privacy-notice version associated with new signups. We use these details to send occasional development updates, gameplay previews, testing opportunities, and launch news. The added consent-wording and notice-version fields apply prospectively to signups after this notice is published; earlier records may contain only the consent timestamp and source. You can withdraw consent by emailing us; this does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing.

Private ChartLeaf testing

The tester portal stores feedback you submit: platform and app version, device model and operating system, optional device environment and processor details, experience level, task results, written comments, reproduction steps, expected and actual results, error text, and whether you found a diagnostics log. Name and contact email are optional. A submission also receives an identifier and timestamp. The form does not upload a diagnostics log. Please do not include passwords or sensitive personal information in feedback. We use feedback to investigate problems, improve ChartLeaf, and respond when you provide contact details.

The database keeps a copy of newly submitted feedback, before-and-after copies when feedback is changed, and a before-deletion copy when a feedback row is deleted. Owner reports refer to this history. Removing a current feedback row alone does not remove those copies. The portal also keeps daily page-load totals without visitor identifiers in that counter.

Cookies and performance measurement

The private tester portal uses necessary authentication cookies after a successful login: chartleaf_tester_session for tester access and chartleaf_tester_owner for owner access. Each lasts up to 12 hours and is restricted to its portal path, with Secure, HttpOnly, and SameSite=Strict protections. Tester sign-out clears the tester cookie.

Optional Cloudflare Web Analytics starts only after you choose “Allow analytics.” “Reject analytics” leaves it off without restricting access. It measures visits and page performance using page and referring-site information, browser/device information and performance measurements; Cloudflare handles IP addresses in transit. The analytics service does not use analytics cookies. Automatic script injection is disabled. We store only a versioned Allow or Reject choice and expiry in your browser’s local storage for 180 days, with the same duration for either choice. Use “Privacy choices” on any page to change or withdraw your choice. Withdrawal reloads the page to stop the active analytics script; it does not erase measurements already sent. Missing, expired or unreadable choices leave analytics off. Necessary portal authentication cookies are separate and are used when you sign in. Cloudflare may also use security mechanisms to protect requests. We do not use these services to build advertising profiles.

Hosting, security, and recipients

Cloudflare hosts the website, stores newsletter signups and tester feedback, and delivers tester downloads. It processes technical information such as IP addresses, browser information, request URLs, and timing to deliver and protect the service. The portal uses IP addresses for login and feedback rate limiting. The main website has persisted Worker invocation logging enabled; its explicit signup event log omits the email address. Authorized people operating the website can access information needed for these purposes. Links to Steam, Etsy, and social platforms take you to services governed by their own privacy notices.

Storage and retention

Newsletter signups currently have no automatic expiry. Tester feedback and its live change history currently have no automatic deletion schedule. Email us to stop Studio Updates or separately request deletion of your information. Unsubscribing stops future Studio Updates; it is not, by itself, a request to erase every record. Limited information may need to be retained to honor an opt-out or meet an applicable legal obligation; we will explain any applicable exception when handling your request.

The tester database is configured in Eastern North America, with no jurisdiction restriction and read replication disabled. Separately from the live feedback change history, its Cloudflare Time Travel recovery window is seven days, during which earlier database states may remain recoverable. The seven-day recovery window does not expire or erase the live change-history copies described above; those currently have no automatic deletion schedule. Cloudflare also operates internationally, so information may be processed outside your country. This notice does not promise EU-only storage or immediate removal from recovery copies.

Your choices and requests

Email hello@rogueandromeda.com to stop Studio Updates or request access, correction, or deletion. Identify the email address or tester submission concerned, but do not send passwords or identity documents unless a proportionate verification step is specifically agreed. Requests are handled by the owner; this website does not provide an automated unsubscribe or erasure endpoint. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy, or complain to a data-protection authority. We assess requests under the law that applies to them.

Children

The website, email list, and private tester portal are not directed to children under 13. Please do not submit personal information if you are under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has submitted information.

Changes

Material changes will be posted here with an updated effective date.
